Off the back of a huge 2020, Melody Moko, was last night crowded New Talent of the Year at the 49th Golden Guitar Awards.
A beaming Melody Moko said following the win, "I am over the moon to have this labour of love recognised and take home a shiny new Golden Guitar, the big bucket list goal that I've been working towards since I was a little girl. I'm so glad I can share my first win as a mum and beside my husband and producer, Michael Muchow".
Melody, who is pregnant with her third child, performed a poignant version of "Last Cigarette" with co-writer, Catherine Britt, and husband Michael. She also co-presented the Bluegrass Recording trophy to Kristy Cox & Tommy Emmanuel with Angus Gill.

The win was popular amongst the industry with many public congratulations rolling in from her peers.
